Son-in-Law Derek dearest barbara, today your friends and family are here to say farewell. Several of us can't be with you today as you traverse through your journey. In our own way we will all keep very special memories of the times we shared with you .I will always remember your sense of humour and in particular when we all took a trip trough The Native Bush in the Waitakeres. We all kept hearing the whistles of your native bird the Tui's, there must of been thousands as we walked through the forest. But where were these Tui's; they must of been the shyest birds on earth as we never saw a single specimen all day. It was not until we where getting close to the car that i spotted a whistle aproaching your mouth. "the game was up." your cover had been blown wide open. what a giggle you had us all going for so long. so Barbara, memories are what we will keep, the world has lost another gem of which your family has more then its fair share. My life has been enriched by you and your family and i thank the lord for having crossed your paths. god bless you, love derek
