The Chinese Gardens is modelled along the northern Chinese imperial style of architecture and landscaping
As you cross the bridge upon entering the garden, you are welcomed by the Main Arch Building. It is a renowned and typical Chinese arch building. Inside the main arch building, there are two courtyards, named “Early Spring Courtyard” and “Garden Courtyard” with a fishpond in the centre.

Raffles named after Sir Stamford Raffles, an official of the British East India Company. Built in the old French Renaissance style, famous for its curry tiffin the buffet lunch in its Palm Court, the long bar and the Singapore Sling.

Raffles Singapore Sling (1 teaspoon = .5cl)
2cl gin
2cl cherry brandy
1cl Cointreau
1cl Bénédictine
1cl fresh lime juice
7cl fresh orange juice
7cl pineapple juice
Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a highball filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of pineapple and a maraschino cherry. Serve with a straw and a stirrer.

Jurong bird park has the world's largest collection of South-east Asian birds. Set in a 20 hectare landscaped park is home to more than 8,000 birds from 600 species. From free-flying falcons to penquins on a icy beach. There is a tropical rainforest housing African and South American species, an Asian Birds Aviary and a nocturnal house. Well worth a visit.
